The End of Waste and Quality Protocols Conference will address the impact of end of waste regulations, intended to divert waste materials from landfill.
The specialist forum takes place on 30th January 2014, at 76 Portland Place, London, and is directed at businesses within the waste and recycling industry.
The event will provide a detailed analysis of criteria regarding sectors involved with glass, paper, bio waste and organics, metals and plastics to delegates in the waste and recycling industry.
The conference is split into four sessions and will:
- “Provide guidance on how to achieve end of waste status and will review policy and regulation.
- Share industry best practice in paper, glass, plastics, metals and bio waste recycling
- Explore recovery options via the production of refuse derived fuel (RDF), and the analysis of markets
- Share questions and answers and enable networking opportunities
- Close with a panel debate addressing whether the waste industry is losing out due to end of waste regulations.”
The business benefits of End of Waste will be discussed by industry figures where speakers will take part in a panel debate to discuss – IS THE WASTE INDUSTRY LOSING OUT? Don’t miss out on a chance to question the regulator and hear best practice from industry leading experts.
Editor of Let’s Recycle Steve Eminton who will be opening the conference, said:
“Our event gives attendees the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues related to the regulations, and provides clarification and further knowledge on what is still a complex and relatively unknown subject. Challenges include how and when waste can qualify as a product and quality of the material. This is the second edition of what has proved be a highly successful industry forum.”
The event is directed at companies and individuals working within waste and recycling; local government; industry forums and those providing support services to the industry.
