Guy Cherry

Managing Director

Guy has operated in the waste industry for 28 years. In 2004 he identified an opportunity within this specialised sector to provide a bespoke and more tailored approach to national waste management. Having established GPT Waste Management in the same year, Guy continues to combine his knowledge and experience with developments in the world of waste management.

Mike Callaghan

Business Development Director

Degree educated, Mikes career spans some 24 years in Business Development, with 11 years spent developing GPT’s client focused offer; a relationship specialist in developing, negotiating, managing and communicating with key strategic clients and partners and with a keen eye on industry developments, Mike has successfully won and mobilised contracts across a variety of industry sectors. His teams’ approach is to work in a collaborative manner with all clients to ensure the delivery of a truly bespoke and optimum waste solution.

Lisa Cooper

Finance Director

With some 17 years’ experience in matters Financial, Lisa’s approach has been to operate at the highest level of day to day management accounting. As part of the strategic team within the business and with 11 years’ experience at GPT, Lisa has extensive knowledge on all the companies operating systems and the importance these play in the running and develop-ment of a multimillion-pound business.

Tony Baker

Technical Director

With a career of 38 years, Tony has an extensive and diverse knowledge of the Waste Management Industry. Responsible for the Procurement function within GPT, and ensuring all Service Provision is appropriately registered, licenced and permitted by the applicable Environmental and Health and Safety regulators, Tony has an enviable understanding of how supply chain and technical compliance should operate. He has pursued opportunities for Personal development throughout his career and he is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, MCIPS, a Graduate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, Grad IOSH, and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management, MCIWM.
